Sento la musica della sala da ballo.
Faccio dei piccoli passetti, mi muovo lentamente.
Sulla mia spalla la mia gatta sta con me e osserva tutt’intorno a noi.
È tranquilla e sta bene. Io mi emoziono all’idea di avere in braccio una creatura viva, proprio come sono viva io. È questo momento di assoluta presenza che ho voluto disegnare.
Quella presenza che, a volte, riesco a sentire soltanto quando smetto di avere fretta. Mi piace la forza di questa donna. La sua eleganza. La delicatezza del suo corpo. La sua capacità di essere potente senza fare rumore.
Ogni volta che guardo questo disegno mi ricordo che la felicità può essere un istante, che va osservato e riconosciuto.
La domanda che continua a farmi è: Riesco ad essere davvero presente in ogni momento, lasciando che la bellezza mi faccia da guida?

I can hear the music of the ballroom.
I take small steps, moving slowly.
My cat rests on my shoulder, quietly observing everything around us. She is calm. She feels at ease.
I am moved by the simple fact of holding a living creature, just as I am alive myself.
This is the moment of complete presence I wanted to draw.
The kind of presence I can only feel when I stop rushing.
I love this woman’s strength.
Her elegance.
The softness of her body.
Her ability to be powerful without making noise.
Every time I look at this drawing, I remember that happiness can exist within a single moment, if we are willing to notice it.
The question this work continues to ask me is:
Am I truly present in each moment, allowing beauty to guide me?
